SALEF has made ita priority to focus on the eductaional achievements of the youth, particularly as they attend some of the most overcrowded high schools in the state that contribute to the highest drop out rates in the country.

SALEF realizes that these factors are effectively hindering career opportunities for Latinos, a rapidly growing ethnic group in California. Thus, SALEF is actively addressing this academic disparity by encouraging students to pursue college, while equipping them with tools necessary to make college attainment a reality.
